Counsellor for Children and Young People

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team in Hackney, working with young people aged 11-25 years old. As a Counsellor, you will provide 1:1 counselling and early intervention mental health support to young people, working closely with our team of dedicated Youth Support Workers and the Hackney Super Youth Hub.
Main Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 counselling and early intervention mental health support to young people aged 11-25 years old
• Work with the Hackney Super Youth Hub to support young people and liaise with appropriate professionals in the network
• Have an active interest in working with young people affected by mental health issues and recognise the impact it has on their life
• Maintain confidential, up-to-date and accurate records of all sessions and plans
• Use outcome tools to measure and monitor client well-being, assess ongoing risk, promote safety, collate data and welcome service feedback
