Counsellor for Children and Young People

Family Action is seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team in Hackney, working with young people aged 11-25 years old. As a Counsellor for Children and Young People, you will provide 1:1 counselling and early intervention mental health support to young people, working closely with our team of dedicated Youth Support Workers and the Hackney Super Youth Hub.
Main Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 counselling and early intervention mental health support to young people aged 11-25 years old, working in collaboration with the Hackney Super Youth Hub and other professionals in the network.
- Work with young people who have experienced mental health issues, recognising the impact on their life and providing a supportive and non-judgmental space for them to express themselves.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all sessions and plans, using outcome tools to measure and monitor client well-being and assess ongoing risk.
- Ensure compliance with Family Action's procedures for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
- Participate in regular management supervision, team meetings, appraisals, and clinical supervision sessions to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Contribute to the evaluation and monitoring of the service, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
