Job Summary
Young Futures is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children & Young People's Residential Practitioner to join our team at our all-female Children's Home. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, education, and well-being of our young residents.
About the Role
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with children and young people, and who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As a Residential Practitioner, you will be responsible for:
- Providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young residents
- Supporting their physical, emotional, and educational needs
- Collaborating with our team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Encouraging and promoting the participation of our residents in sports, culture, and arts activities
- Building strong relationships with our residents, their families, and our community partners
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Some experience of working with children and/or young people
- Key qualities that enable good relationships, such as warmth, kindness, and humour
- Strong values and a commitment to inclusion
- An ability to understand, recognize, and respond appropriately to risk
- Ambition matched with a desire for professional development
