About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team at Family Action, working with young people aged 11-25 years old. As a Counsellor, you will provide 1:1 support and early intervention mental health services to help young people overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing 1:1 counselling and early intervention mental health support to young people aged 11-25 years old.
2. Collaborating with the Hackney Super Youth Hub and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive support network for young people.
3. Maintaining accurate and confidential records of sessions and plans.
4. Using outcome tools to measure and monitor client well-being and assess ongoing risk.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum level 4 professional qualification in Counselling and/or Psychotherapy for working with Children and Young Adults.
2. Registration/Accreditation (or working towards) with a relevant professional body BACP/NCPS/UKCP.
3. Experience of counselling/professional work with children and young people who have experienced mental health issues.
