Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marine Conservation Policy Officer to join our team in Wales. As a key member of our marine policy team, you will play a crucial role in delivering positive changes in marine conservation policy, working closely with stakeholders and the public to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective marine conservation policies, working closely with our team and stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community groups.
  • Communicate complex policy information to diverse audiences, using clear and concise language.
  • Contribute to the development of our marine policy strategy, ensuring alignment with our overall mission and goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of marine conservation policy and issues, with a focus on Wales.
  • Experience in advocacy work, with a proven track record of influencing policy decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
