Business Development Director

About the Role:
This is a key leadership position at Alltruck plc, responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales and operations at our Nottingham depot. The successful candidate will drive growth, nurture a talented team, and maintain operational excellence.
The role involves managing the P&L for all depot operations, including used vehicle sales and an HGV workshop. Health and safety and site overheads are also part of the job, which includes managing a feeder yard close to the depot in Colwick.
Collaboration with all departments at Alltruck plc is crucial to the success of this role. As a leader, you will help mature and guide our team while maintaining a focus on operational excellence and high-performance standards.
- A proven track record in managing a depot and looking after all aspects of site maintenance and health and safety.
- Commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Negotiation skills - maximising added value and profitability.
- Influencing skills - internally with Alltruck plc stakeholders to manage the effective defleeting of vehicles and internal workshops.
- Strong understanding of the HGV industry and fundamental knowledge of vehicles.
- Creative thinker - identifies multiple options to ensure success.
- Ability to manage up and down effectively - feedback on industry trends and other potential opportunities and challenges.
- Outcome-focused - delivers the annual budget in line with other key objectives.
- Understanding of residual values in commercial assets.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to coach and develop a relatively young team, and experience in managing complex operations with quick turnaround times.
