About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Families First Coordinator to join our team at Hertfordshire County Council. As a key member of our Supporting Families Practice Team, you will play a vital role in delivering training, support, and guidance to professionals working with families across Hertfordshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert support and guidance to professionals on Early Help assessments and support in Hertfordshire.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals working with families.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various agencies to ensure effective delivery of Early Help support.
  • Conduct Families First Assessments and develop SMART Action Plans to meet the needs of families.
  • Chair and minute Team Around the Family (TAF) Meetings to ensure effective coordination of support.
  • Deliver group and 1:1 training to professionals on various topics related to Early Help support.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in Multi-agency working and delivering Early Help support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with families, children, and young people.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify needs and strengths of families.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft.
  • Previous experience in delivering training and chairing meetings is desirable.
