Role Overview
Kent County Council's Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children's Service provides vital support to newly arrived unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in Kent. As a Social Worker in this service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring these young people receive the care and protection they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to newly arrived unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and provide support on their journey in the UK
- Ensure the voice of these children is heard and their needs are met
- Work closely with other agencies to provide a comprehensive support network
- Develop and enhance your social work knowledge and skills in a niche area of practice
Our Offer
- Competitive basic salary between £32,933 and £43,592
- Manageable caseloads of between 15-18 cases
- Full induction and ongoing training and development opportunities
- Annual leave allowance of 29 days rising to 30 days after 5 years service
- Relocation packages up to £8,000

Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service
- Command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements
