Job Overview:
A key role within the school's HR department, this Payroll Services Specialist will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient payroll function. The successful candidate will have experience in public sector payroll and possess excellent organizational skills.

The primary focus of this position is to ensure that all staff members are accurately paid on time. This includes preparing and administering payroll and pension information for our payroll service provider, ensuring relevant information such as rates of pay, tax codes, NI rates, pension contributions, student loans, and attachment of earnings are accurately recorded and input to our HR and payroll system.

Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer payroll and pension information for our payroll service provider
- Ensure accurate recording and input of relevant information into our HR and payroll system
- Reconcile RTI returns for submission to HMRC within deadlines
- Review and check payroll deductions returns and submissions from the payroll provider to comply with external deadlines

Benefits:
This temporary role offers a competitive salary of £27,500 (Band 5 Full-time equivalent) and the potential for permanence. The position is available all-year round, not restricted to school terms. Flexible working hours are offered, with a minimum of 3 days per week.
