About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Assistant. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in delivering an accurate and timely payroll function.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and processing payroll information, including calculations and reporting
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payroll processing, including reconciliations and audits
- Providing exceptional customer service to staff and management, responding to queries and resolving issues promptly
- Staying up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and regulations, implementing new processes and procedures as required
- Collaborating with the HR team to ensure compliance with employment law and company policies
- Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with staff and management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
- Knowledge of payroll systems and procedures, with experience of working with HR and payroll software
The estimated salary for this role is £27,500 per annum (Band 5 Full-time equivalent).
