Job Title: Aircraft Appearance Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aircraft Appearance Supervisor to join our team at ABM UK. As a key member of our cleaning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality in our aircraft appearance services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Proactively manage and lead a team of cleaning staff to ensure all service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and colleagues.
  • Stock Management: Responsible for the management and control of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that the team maintains the highest standards of cleaning and quality.
  • Task Allocation: Efficiently plan and allocate tasks to team members to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor team performance to ensure all members are working to agreed standards.
  • Equipment Management: Responsible for the signing in and out of equipment and ensuring it is properly maintained.
  • Final Walkthroughs: Complete final walkthroughs with the team to ensure all areas are clean and meet quality standards.
  • Absence Management: Effectively manage absence processes for cleaning staff, ensuring that those absent are reported to managers in a timely manner.
  • Employee Development: Ensure that employees perform their jobs effectively, and good management practices, including effective appraisals and assessments, are applied to achieve optimum staff performance, timekeeping, development, and retention.
  • Confidentiality: Ensure that all paperwork is managed and processed in line with GDPR regulations, maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a cleaning or facilities management environment.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving: Ability to use own initiative to identify and prioritize tasks, and to solve problems in a proactive and effective manner.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work alone and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet changing demands and priorities.
  • Approachable and Courteous Manner: An approachable and courteous manner, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: An understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion in an active corporate environment.
  • UK Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.
