Job Title: Aircraft Appearance Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Appearance Supervisor to join our team at ABM UK. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation at our airport locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Proactively manage and motivate a team of cleaning staff to ensure that all service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and colleagues.
  • Stock Management: Oversee the management of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that all necessary resources are available to the team.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that the team maintains the highest standards of cleaning and presentation, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols.
  • Task Allocation: Efficiently plan and allocate tasks to team members, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Performance Management: Monitor team performance, providing feedback and coaching to ensure that all team members are working to agreed standards.
  • Equipment Management: Responsible for signing in and out equipment, ensuring that all necessary resources are available to the team.
  • Final Walkthroughs: Complete final walkthroughs with the team to ensure that all areas are clean and presentable.
  • Absence Management: Ensure that absence management processes are effectively managed for cleaners, with those absent effectively reported to managers.
  • Employee Development: Ensure that employees perform their jobs effectively, applying good management practices, including effective appraisals and assessments, to achieve optimum staff performance, timekeeping, development, and retention.
  • Confidentiality: Ensure that all paperwork is managed and processed in line with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) requirements.

Requirements:

  • Previous Supervisory Experience: Proven experience of supervising a team, with a track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving: Ability to use own initiative to identify and prioritize tasks, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work alone and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Approachable and Courteous Manner: An approachable and courteous manner, with a strong understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion in an active corporate environment.
  • UK Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
