About the Job
We are seeking a skilled HR Officer to support our management and staff in Aylesbury. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on HR policies and manage employee life cycles, working closely with the HR and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer professional HR guidance on various employment matters
- Manage recruitment, absence, and performance processes
- Conduct Single Central Record audits and maintain HR data systems
- Collaborate with the Payroll Department for accurate payroll instructions
- Oversee the Probation Period Process and assist with employee relations
- Coordinate learning and development events for staff
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification and have experience in an education HR team, providing first-level advice on HR policies, employment law, and employee relations. Strong organisational skills and excellent communication abilities are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office and HR databases. Car driving is also required for site visits.
Benefits:
This full-time role offers 37 hours of work per week, with opportunities for career progression and professional growth in a supportive and collaborative work environment. You will receive 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays and be enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme. The role will transition to a hybrid schedule after probation.
