Job Summary

Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (UCT)

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Urgent Care Team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
  • Develop and implement new services and initiatives to improve patient care
  • Contribute to the development of the Trust's child and adolescent mental health services
  • Participate in education and training activities to enhance the skills and knowledge of colleagues

Person Specification

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practice
  • Section 12 MHA Approved
  • Approved Clinician status (or undertaking to obtain this on taking up the post)
  • Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrist (MRCPsych) or equivalent qualifications/certification
  • Listing on the Specialist Register of the GMC Medical Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or eligible to register within six months of interview date)
