About The Role

This paediatric consultant locum opportunity is available for a period of one year, starting in December 2024. As a key member of the paediatrics team at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care.

Our modern treatment centre at Mount Vernon Hospital offers routine day surgery, while our minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics provide additional support to patients.

Person Specification
  • We are looking for a candidate with MRCPCH or equivalent qualifications.
  • GMC Registration with a license to practice and GMC Specialist Registration (CCT Paediatrics) or within 6 months of CCT/CESR date.
  • Broad training and experience in general paediatrics and neonates are essential.
  • A proven track record in child protection experience and training at level 3 is required.
  • Evidence of commitment to paediatric trainees or medical students is necessary.
  • Excellent leadership ability and the capacity to work as part of a multi-professional team are crucial.
  • Well-organised and highly motivated individuals with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances are encouraged to apply.
  • Able to work extended hours and participate in the resident night on calls, this post requires a flexible individual.
  • MSc, PhD, MD, and additional special interest qualifications are desirable.

Estimated Salary Range: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum
