Senior Psychiatrist in Learning Disability Services

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Learning Disability Community Team. The successful candidate will provide psychiatric input to adults with learning disabilities living in Hillingdon, ensuring high-quality care and support.
About the RoleAs a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing a Consultant Psychiatric service for adults with Learning Disabilities living in Hillingdon. This includes attending community team referrals and complex case reviews, community team clinical governance and management meetings. You will also provide a Consultant Psychiatric service for people with a Learning Disability who may be admitted on Frays and Crane Ward, acute inpatient mental health wards at The Riverside Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric input to adults with learning disabilities living in Hillingdon.
- Attend community team referrals and complex case reviews, community team clinical governance and management meetings.
- Provide a Consultant Psychiatric service for people with a Learning Disability who may be admitted on Frays and Crane Ward, acute inpatient mental health wards at The Riverside Centre.
- Lead the collaboration with mainstream mental health services within the Borough.
- Be an active participant in the shaping of new services in light of recent and ongoing changes to the NHS, in collaboration with relevant Clinical and Service Managers.
We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with the following skills and experience:
- Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice.
- Included on the GMC specialist register or within 3 months.
- Approved under section 12(2) MHA, 1983 or within 3 months.
- Approved Clinician status or within 3 months of appointment.
