Teaching Support Professional

A Teaching Support Professional is required to join our accredited specialist team at an independent special day school. The successful candidate will support students with a range of learning needs, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties, in achieving their educational and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be crucial in supporting students with their learning, development, and progress in all areas of the curriculum within a range of learning contexts* Help young people with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism to achieve their educational and personal goals* Support an environment that fosters equality, diversity, and the rights of all young people to be seen as learners and be treated with respect* Place an emphasis on support and empowerment of young people* Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues; the values of our client school, and demonstrate these in all aspects of the role* Provide high-quality support in all aspects of the role* Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to deliver effective education and support* Contribute to the development of individualized plans for students and monitor progress* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge* Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall well-being of the school community
Requirements:
* Educated to at least level 2 (or equivalent) Maths and English* Willingness to work towards getting formal qualifications and attend training* Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs* Ability to understand and deliver effective education and support in line with identified needs* Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one* Opportunities for meaningful career development and fully funded training and qualifications*
