About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students aged 6-19 who have a range of Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) needs, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties.

The ideal candidate will be able to assist students in managing sensory overload, anxiety, low self-esteem, and difficulty with transitions, often demonstrated through their behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with their learning, development, and progress in various curriculum areas, including classroom, local environment, and community settings.
  • Assist students with complex medical conditions and autism to achieve educational and personal goals.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that promotes equality, diversity, and respect for all students.
  • Emphasize student empowerment and support.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of Special Education issues and the values of our client school.
We Are Looking For
  • Candidates willing to pursue formal qualifications, attend training, and take responsibility for their own development, fully funded by the school.

  • Minimum Level 2 Maths and English qualifications or equivalent.

This is a full-time, term-time only position, working 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is £15,000 - £25,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
