Assistant Psychologist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Turning Point. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health difficulties, including those with a diagnosis of Personality Disorder.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based, individual and group sessions to support individuals experiencing emotional dysregulation and other difficulties associated with a Personality Disorder diagnosis.
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and assist the team with developing risk formulations under the supervision of a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Provide support to individuals accessing our service, utilizing face-to-face, telephone, and digital technology formats.
Requirements
- Upper second-class honours degree in Psychology and eligibility for graduate membership with the British Psychological Society.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health difficulties and delivering psychosocial interventions (individually or in groups).
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with good understanding of how to conduct psychological assessments, including risk formulation.
- Excellent organisational skills, effective communication, and a willingness to be flexible in your approach.
