About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Peer Support Worker. As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering a community-based, psychologically informed programme of support to individuals with a Personality Disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a blended approach of face-to-face support and accessible digital technology to individuals with a Personality Disorder.
  • Use evidence-based psychological interventions such as DBT, trauma-informed practice, and relapse prevention skills to form the base of interventions and support.
  • Provide formalized peer support and practical assistance to service users, helping them to regain control of their lives and develop their own unique skill set.
  • Work alongside a clinically informed team with oversight from a dedicated Clinical Psychologist.
Requirements
  • A patient and non-judgmental individual who can use their own experience and journey of recovery to support our service user group in a compassionate and respectful way.
  • An understanding of Personality Disorder and experience in providing face-to-face support and delivering small group sessions to a diverse population of individuals.
  • The ability to manage a small caseload of clients, including 1-1 client work, liaison with clients' mental health teams, and managing and reviewing client risk levels.
  • A firm grasp of Recovery Principles and a willingness to complete Accredited Peer Support Training.
  • Resourcefulness, resilience, and an innovative approach to working with individuals with a diagnosis of Personality Disorder.
  • Effective communication skills and a flexible and supportive approach to delivering the service provision.
