Job Role

Seetec is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Worker to join our team at Eden House, a designated Approved Premises for up to 26 women. As a Residential Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting women who are returning to the community after serving time in prison or who have been given a residential requirement as part of a community sentence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver daily structured living skills sessions, including leisure and creative activities, to empower residents to become independent.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Assist with the induction of new residents, ensuring they feel welcome and familiar with the environment and rules.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment, reporting any concerns or issues to management.
  • Act as a Fire Warden and First Aider on duty, ensuring the well-being of residents and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and files, as required.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate empathy and understanding, with the ability to use tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with good listening skills.
  • Input and maintain computer-based information systems in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Exercise authority and reinforce boundaries in an appropriate manner.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, coping with stressful situations.

  • A competitive hourly rate of £12.57-£16.50, dependent on experience.
