Job Role

Seetec is seeking a dedicated Residential Worker to join our team at Eden House, a designated Approved Premises for women. As a Residential Worker, you will provide support and guidance to women returning to the community after serving time in prison or with a residential requirement as part of a community sentence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver daily structured living skills sessions and leisure activities to promote independence and reintegration
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, fostering a safe and supportive environment
  • Assist with the induction of new residents, ensuring their familiarity with the premises and understanding of rules and policies
  • Maintain an active presence in the Approved Premises, undertaking regular inspections and reporting any significant changes or concerns
  • Act as Fire Warden and First Aider on duty, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff
  • Maintain accurate records and files as required
Requirements
  • Demonstrate empathy and effective communication skills, with the ability to use tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
  • Input and maintain computer-based information systems in an accurate and timely manner
  • Exercise authority and reinforce boundaries in an appropriate manner, promoting a safe and respectful environment
  • Work independently and as part of a team, coping with stressful situations and prioritizing tasks effectively
