About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Worker to join our team at Eden House, a designated Approved Premises for women. As a Residential Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting women who are returning to the community after serving time in prison or who have been given a residential requirement as part of a community sentence.

Your key responsibilities will include delivering structured living skills sessions, providing support to enable residents to deal with problems and become independent, and maintaining an active presence in the Approved Premises at all times during your shift. You will also be responsible for reporting any significant changes or key information relating to residents and escalating any matters of concern.

Key Requirements
  • Empathy and the ability to use tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with good listening skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and cope with stressful situations
  • Exercise authority and reinforce boundaries in an appropriate manner
