Job Opportunity: Supporting Disabled Children in Bristol

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a casual Residential Child Care Worker. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of disabled children in Bristol.

The role involves working with a team to provide a fun and supportive environment for children with severe learning difficulties and/or physical health needs. This includes planning and participating in activities, such as sensory play, outdoor games, and educational sessions, to promote the children’s physical, emotional, and social development.

As a Residential Child Care Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the children’s safety and well-being at all times, while also promoting their independence and self-confidence. You will work closely with the children’s families to understand their needs and preferences, and will help to facilitate communication between the child, their family, and other professionals involved in their care.

In addition to your work with the children, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the service, including suggesting new activities and initiatives to enhance the children’s experience.

As a member of our team, you will benefit from a supportive and inclusive work environment, with opportunities for professional development and training. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a generous annual leave allowance and membership of the Local Government Pension scheme.
