We are seeking a skilled Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behaviour, helping them achieve the best possible outcomes.


Based in a children's residential home, you will work with young people, using your skills and experience to help them develop and grow. You will need to be flexible, resilient, honest, and well-organised, as well as committed to providing a high standard of childcare.


As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team that is passionate about providing a safe and supportive environment for young people. You will be working on average hours per week – days on and days off shift pattern with sleep-ins, and will be eligible for generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime hours, and performance-related bonus scheme.


Essential skills for this role include previous experience of working with challenging young people, preferably in a residential setting. You will also need to be qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People, or be willing to work towards the qualification which will be fully funded. You will be able to work on your own initiative to a high level of accuracy, maintain clear, neat records, and have good interpersonal skills and be a positive team player.
