Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a key member of our residential home, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with young people in a residential setting, providing individualized care and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Participate in shift work, including sleep-ins, to provide 24/7 care and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and supportive environment, promoting the well-being of all young people.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with young people in a residential setting (desirable).
  • Qualification in Children and Young People (QCF level).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Computer skills to an intermediate level, with experience of recording and maintaining accurate records.
  • Full manual driving license (essential).
