Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a key member of our residential homes, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior.

Job Summary:

This is a permanent role with excellent career prospects and a comprehensive training program within an expanding company. You will work on a days on and days off shift pattern with sleep-ins, and be eligible for generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime hours, and a performance-related bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with young people with challenging behavior, providing a safe and supportive environment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the residential home.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of working with challenging young people, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People, or willing to work towards the qualification.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level.
  • Ability to complete daily records to meet statutory and policy requirements.
  • Empathetic nature, with good oral and written communication skills.
  • Full manual driving license essential.
