Functional Assessor Opportunity

Reactive Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Functional Assessor to join our team. As a Functional Assessor, you will play a crucial role in helping the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) make informed decisions about health and care.

About the Role

As a Functional Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of individuals who have been referred to the DWP. You will use your clinical knowledge and expertise to gather information, make recommendations, and write reports that will inform the DWP's decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of individuals referred to the DWP
  • Use clinical knowledge and expertise to gather information and make recommendations
  • Write reports that inform the DWP's decisions
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and comprehensive assessments
Requirements
  • One year post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic
  • Fully registered with the relevant professional body (e.g. NMC, HCPC)
  • Excellent observational, communication, and IT skills
  • Valid driving licence or transport to the nearest assessment centre
  • Successful completion of government baseline personnel security vetting
