Practice Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Practice Administrator. This role is responsible for maintaining the practice's appointment system, processing requests, and providing exceptional customer service to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor the practice's appointment system to ensure efficient scheduling and minimal waiting times.
- Process personal, telephone, and electronic requests for appointments in a timely manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and transfer calls or deal with callers' requests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Signpost patients to the correct service, ensuring they receive the necessary support and guidance.
- Process and action incoming and outgoing mail, including calling letters and DNA letters, in accordance with current policy.
- Action GP2GP tasks and file and store records as required.
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required.
- Input data into the patient's healthcare records as necessary, adhering to confidentiality and data protection guidelines.
- Scanning of patient-related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient's healthcare records.
- Manage all queries (including administrative queries) as necessary in an efficient manner, escalating issues to senior staff if required.
- Carry out system searches as requested to locate patient information and other relevant data.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and effective working area at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support all other team members with ad hoc tasks as and when required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the clinical team to provide exceptional patient care.
