In line with the sustained growth and the ongoing company expansion, we are seeking to appoint a Learner Services Officer/Administrator from our Beauty Academy in Sunderland to support the day-to-day operational role of the business. The post holder will work across all program areas and be responsible for the day-to-day administration and NBA activities to support learner services. He/she will work closely with the nominated Manager to ensure full compliance and administrative activities are met; additional contributions to quality assurance activities across the business will be made as required.
**KEY OUTPUTS**:
- Contribute to the continual development and improvement of a fully compliant audit trail across all areas of delivery.
- Contribution to the improvement of all administrative structures, data capture, and internal and external audit requirements.
- To work with the Centre Co-Ordinator to produce and maintain an effective tracking system for learner progression, achievement, and claims, ensuring timely completions.
- Provide routing data to assist all programme areas in the planning and implementation of current and future projections.
- Contribute to the quality improvement plan and quality action plan (Inclusive of IAG activities) across the administrative area of responsibility.
- Work with the team to service Prime Funders, Ofsted, ESFA, and External Verification visits.
- Work closely with Human Resources to ensure a streamlined process for all activities and staff requirements.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Adhere to best practices in data protection.
- Maintain high standards of equality and diversity.
- Uploading learner information into the MIS.
- Screening and completion of learner funding eligibility checks through the current LRS system checks in use.
- Monitor and track all learners' progress via the current MIS.
- Provision of 1st line support to all current and future clients and learners alike.
- Support and provision of IAG to all learners both during and post achievement of their training up to and inclusive of 26 weeks past their end date.
- Research and provide current and accurate learner and client Information as directed across learner services by your line manager in support of the above IAG provision.
- Generic photocopying of resources and material to support operations.
- Sorting of internal and external mail, inclusive of sending tracked postage.
- Generating reports for the Centre Co-Ordinator where necessary.
- Provision of generalist IT support across the office as requested.
- Responding to customer enquiries and complaints via various methods.
- Comply with health and safety policies and ensure they are observed by other staff, reporting any issues of concerns or near misses.
- Attending meetings and training as directed by your nominated line manager.
- Any additional tasks deemed reasonable in order to maintain the quality of administrative activities across the business.
**SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE**:
- Analytical approach to data capture, recording, and monitoring.
- Level 1 or above qualification in Literacy & Numeracy.
- Commitment to a learner-centered approach.
- Basic IT proficiency with an understanding of management information systems.
- A commitment to creating cultures that embody positive change, continuous improvement, health and safety, safeguarding, and equality.
- Communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Planning, monitoring, and reporting skills.
