Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Patient Liaison Coordinator. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the clinical team, including maintaining the practice's appointment system, processing requests, and answering phone calls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor the practice's appointment system to ensure efficient scheduling and minimal waiting times.
  • Process personal, telephone, and electronic requests for appointments in a timely manner.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and transfer calls or deal with callers' requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Signpost patients to the correct service, ensuring they receive the necessary support and guidance.
  • Process and action incoming and outgoing mail, including calling letters and DNA letters, in accordance with current policy.
  • Action GP2GP tasks and file and store records as required.
  • Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required.
  • Input data into the patient's healthcare records as necessary, adhering to confidentiality and data protection guidelines.
  • Scanning of patient-related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient's healthcare records.
  • Manage all queries (including administrative queries) as necessary in an efficient manner, escalating issues to senior staff if required.
  • Carry out system searches as requested to locate patient information and other relevant data.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and effective working area at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Support all other team members with ad hoc tasks as and when required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the clinical team to provide exceptional patient care. The salary for this role is £26,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
