About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Station Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and assisting passengers with their journey at our Oxford station.

Your main duties will include providing passenger assistance, operating ticket office duties when needed, performing winter weather precautions at the station and local outstations, and receiving and delivering station packages around station departments. You will also be required to deliver exceptional front-line customer service, understand customer requirements and expectations, and demonstrate a can-do attitude as a self-starter.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently or as part of a team, and have previous customer service experience. You will also be required to work varied shifts, including early starts, late finishes, weekends, and bank holidays.

The salary for this role is approximately £22,000-£28,000 per annum, and you will enjoy benefits such as ongoing development, a defined benefit pension scheme, free rail travel across the GWR network, company-sponsored health care plan, discounted shopping and gym membership, and an employee assistance program.
