Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service team as a Medical Call Taker. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing essential transport services to patients across Wales.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will be responsible for processing telephone calls from patients and hospitals, assessing transport needs, and accurately processing requests using our Trust's databases.

We are looking for someone who is able to work flexibly, covering a range of shifts, including weekdays and weekends. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, be able to work under pressure, and possess excellent keyboard skills.

Main Duties
  1. Process telephone calls from patients and hospitals, assessing transport needs and accurately processing requests.
  2. Work effectively in a team environment, providing support to the planning and day control teams.
  3. Input details speedily and accurately onto our computer system, using excellent keyboard skills.
  4. Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with patients and hospital staff.
