Job Details

The Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Medical Call Center Operator to join its team. As a key member of the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service, you will be responsible for processing telephone calls from patients and hospitals, assessing the most appropriate method of transport, and accurately processing requests using the Trust's databases.

Main Responsibilities
• Respond to telephone enquiries from patients and hospitals regarding non-urgent ambulance transport
• Assess and process requests for transport using established criteria and the Trust's databases
• Provide support to the planning and day control teams within the NEPTS department

Requirements
• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate a can-do attitude
• Good interpersonal skills and typing skills
• Ability to converse in the Welsh language is essential for this role
