Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service team as a Medical Call Taker. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing essential transport services to patients across Wales.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will be responsible for processing telephone calls from patients and hospitals, assessing transport needs, and accurately processing requests using our Trust's databases.

A good knowledge of the geographical areas of Wales is advantageous, and the ability to converse in the Welsh language is essential for this role.

Main Duties
  1. Process telephone calls from patients and hospitals, assessing transport needs and accurately processing requests.
  2. Work effectively in a team environment, providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Utilize our Trust's databases to manage transport requests and ensure efficient service delivery.
  4. Provide support to the planning and day control teams within the NEPTS department.
