Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service team as a Medical Call Taker. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing essential transport services to patients across Wales.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will be responsible for processing telephone calls from patients and hospitals, assessing transport needs, and accurately processing requests using our Trust's databases.

We are looking for someone who is able to work flexibly, covering a range of shifts, including weekdays and weekends. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the geographical areas of Wales and be able to converse in the Welsh language.

Main Duties
  1. Process telephone calls from patients and hospitals, assessing transport needs and accurately processing requests.
  2. Work effectively in a team environment, providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Utilize our Trust's databases to accurately process requests and manage transport services.
  4. Provide support to the planning and day control teams within the NEPTS department.
