Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Non-Emergency Transport Call Centre team as a Medical Call Centre Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and hospital staff, processing telephone calls, and accurately processing requests for non-urgent ambulance transport.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A good knowledge of the geographical areas of Wales is advantageous, and the ability to converse in the Welsh language is essential for this role.

Main Duties
  1. Process telephone calls from patients and hospital staff requesting non-urgent ambulance transport.
  2. Work with the team to assess the most appropriate method of transport for patients and accurately process requests.
  3. Input details speedily and accurately onto a computer system, utilizing the Trust's databases.
  4. Provide support to the planning and day control teams within the NEPTS department.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess excellent keyboard skills, good interpersonal skills, and be educated to a good educational standard. A typing and I.T. skills are essential for this role.
