Chef Manager Opportunity
We're seeking a skilled Chef Manager to join our team at Canterbury House in Hadleigh. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our residents. With your expertise, we aim to maintain our high standards of food safety and hygiene, while providing delicious and nutritious meals that meet the diverse needs of our residents.

What You'll Do
Your responsibilities will include managing every aspect of catering within the location, leading the catering team, maintaining compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards, controlling kitchen stock, equipment and resources within budget, and producing meals based on implemented menus. You will also be expected to develop and implement menus, manage inventory, supervise staff, and maintain accurate records.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certificate with Cater craft or similar award, health & safety procedures including control of substances harmful to health (COSH) and food safety standards, proven chef and people management experience, basic knowledge of dietary requirements for older people and the impact of food types on medication, and safe use of kitchen equipment including knives. Additionally, you should be able to negotiate, influence, organize time and prioritize activities, work in a pressured environment, and be flexible, innovative and able to work as part of a team and individually.
