As a key member of our kitchen team at beBee Professionals in Canterbury, UK, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to assist our Head Chef in managing the kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation.
  • Supervise the kitchen team and ensure smooth operation during service.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and delivered on time.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene according to health and safety regulations.
  • Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred).
