About the Role:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in mortuary services, working closely with consultant Histopathologists, trainee SPRs, external forensic pathologists, and Coroners Services. You will be responsible for collaborating with these professionals to deliver high-quality mortuary services.

You will also communicate effectively with pathology departments to arrange histological, toxicology, or blood testing on patient samples. Additionally, you will liaise with hospital staff and relatives of patients to conduct viewings.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of clinical governance, clinical audit, and achieving quality targets. They will also hold relevant qualifications, such as Level 3 and 4 Diplomas in Anatomical Pathology Technology, and have experience working in an NHS mortuary.
