Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Pathology Technologist Coordinator to join our team at North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our mortuary team, you will be responsible for coordinating mortuary activities and ensuring the provision of high-quality mortuary services to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate mortuary activities, including receiving and returning patients for funeral arrangements.
  • Liaise with funeral services to facilitate smooth communication and minimize delays.
  • Collaborate with Pathology departments to organize histological, toxicology, or blood testing on patient samples.
  • Develop and maintain the mortuary quality system, including SOPs, training, and competency assessment.
Person Specification

To be considered for this role, you should have relevant qualifications and experience in Anatomical Pathology Technology. You should also possess excellent communication skills, a full British driving license, and experience in reviewing guidelines/protocols and implementing change.
