About the Role:

Yooralla seeks a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our team in Melbourne's South & East regions. As a Grade 1- Speech Pathologist, you will be working with adults or children with disabilities to achieve their goals and live the life they choose.

  • Delivering therapy in people's homes, educational settings, or in the community, aimed at maximising a person's participation in daily life and promoting physical health and wellbeing.
  • Working as part of an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists.

About You:

You will be a newly established and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with good interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop skills in engaging people with disabilities, motivate them, and build their capability. You will be working in partnership with people with disabilities to set and achieve goals, and to work collaboratively with the person's supports, including their families.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent (i.e. Masters) in Speech Pathology.
  • Graduate or within 2 years of your clinical practice experience.
  • The ability to work within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with customers and their families.
  • A willingness to improve on your clinical practice – including the ability to self-reflect and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas you're not familiar with.
  • Care for the work you do and for the people you work with.
  • Competency in a variety of IT platforms.
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • An Australian driver's license and own vehicle, and a willingness to travel within the region you are working in as required.

Salary Estimate:$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
