Job Summary

This Anatomical Pathology Technician position offers a unique opportunity to work in a leading healthcare organization, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate records, performing post-mortem examinations, and implementing quality management systems.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the mortuary, working closely with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Your expertise and knowledge will be essential in maintaining accurate records, reporting any discrepancies or issues, and contributing to the development and implementation of quality management systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Perform post-mortem examinations and related tasks
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality management systems
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve shared goals
Key Requirements
  • Diploma in Anatomical Pathology from RIPHH/RSPH
  • Awareness of developments in specialty being applied for
  • Commitment to continuing personal and professional development
  • Experience in training others in practical aspects of work
  • Experience in operating mortuary equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines
  • Awareness of health and safety issues
  • Awareness of role within a mortuary
  • Experience of maintaining quality management systems
