About the Role

Fortem Solutions is seeking an experienced Assistant Highways Site Manager to lead our construction projects and teams. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and planning sub-contract labor, ensuring the successful delivery of refurbishment programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and ensure compliance with relevant standards and certifications.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of inspections and reporting.
  • Develop and issue clear, concise, and effective work instructions to trades and subcontractors.
  • Enforce health and safety procedures and policies, conducting regular inspections and audits.
  • Carry out quality inspections and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage and maintain welfare facilities on site.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager in construction projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • CSCS Card and full UK driving license.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in social housing repairs and maintenance.
  • Understanding of job costing and financial management.
  • SMSTS certification and knowledge of EWI/external cladding replacement and fire compliance works.
