Job Title: Heavy Fabrication Technician
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of bespoke commercial catering and ventilation equipment as a Heavy Fabrication Technician. In this role, you will be working closely with the Machine Shop and Press Team Leader, utilizing your problem-solving skills to liaise comfortably with all elements of the manufacturing process.
The focus for this candidate will be ensuring that their quality standards and the "right first time" mentality are maintained at all times. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for pressing, inspection, and tolerance checking of both standard and bespoke components, programming, setting, and adjustment of the brake press to achieve component forming in a timely manner.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will also assist with general manufacture activities where necessary, and any other duties as required within your skill set. If you have previous experience of working in a similar position and possess excellent communication and numeracy skills, we would love to hear from you.
About You- You must possess previous experience of working in a similar position.
- Experience of working within fabrication industry would be a clear advantage.
- You should have knowledge and understanding of the Amada HFE press range or similar.
- You must be able to read and understand manufacture drawings.
- You should possess good communication and numeracy skills.
- You can work equally well in a team and alone.
- You must be quality driven with attention to detail being paramount in everything achieved.
- You must have own transport.
We offer a full-time, permanent contract with a salary of £35,000 per annum, a pension plan, 40.5 hours per week with overtime opportunities, an extremely varied and interesting role within an expanding, fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing supplier, and a friendly and welcoming environment.
