We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Perinatal Specialist Service at Thumbswood Mother and Baby Unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessments and interventions to women who are pregnant or up to 2 years postnatal, who have, or are at risk of, a range of complex mental health problems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of clients referred to the service, using a range of assessment tools and techniques.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, working collaboratively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide high-quality clinical supervision to junior psychology colleagues and trainee clinical psychologists.
- Contribute to the development of perinatal-specific knowledge and skills within the team and wider Trust, through maintaining an active awareness of current developments in perinatal psychology and national policy developments.
- Participate in staff recruitment, including shortlisting and interview panels for assistant, trainee, and qualified clinical/counselling psychologists.
- Post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS, or fully completed training as a Counselling Psychologist.
- Strong experience working as a qualified practitioner with clients with severe mental illness within a mental health setting.
- Experience of working with women who are pregnant or up to 2 years postnatal, who have, or are at risk of, a range of complex mental health problems.
- Training in risk assessment and management.
- Post-qualification training in assessment and intervention models in one or more of the following: CBT, Systemic Therapy, Family Interventions.
We offer a competitive salary of £53,755 to £60,504 per annum pro rata, plus 5% of basic salary (min £1,258 max £2,122). We also offer a range of benefits, including a generous pension scheme, flexible working arrangements, and access to a range of training and development opportunities.
