Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced DBT Therapist to join our dynamic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based interventions to young people experiencing mental health challenges. Your expertise in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) will be instrumental in supporting these individuals and their families through a range of therapeutic modalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality DBT interventions to children, adolescents, and their families within an outpatient setting.
- Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of service initiatives aligned with CAMHS goals.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with professional standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Full professional registration as a relevant healthcare professional (e.g., RMN, RGN, RSCN, Clinical Psychologist, Systemic or Family Therapist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist).
- Post-qualification experience working within a CAMHS team or related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in DBT principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and colleagues.
Desirable Requirements:
- Specialist training in an area relevant to CAMHS.
- Knowledge of CAPA and CYP-IAPT frameworks.
