Job Purpose

The post holder will provide an efficient and effective grocery provision service to the prisoner population within strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. They will accurately process individual orders, via a bagging and tagging operation, and deliver the orders to residential areas. The post holder may be required to cover the Prisoner Wages Admin Assistant as highlighted by management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contribute to the delivery of an effective and efficient grocery provision service in accordance with agreed timescales. 2. Undertake manual handling duties on a daily basis in a warehouse-type vicinity. 3. Check canteen sheets for accuracy and process orders through an electronic point of sale system. 4. Accurately pick, charge on till, and seal prisoners' canteen orders in preparation for delivery to residential areas within strict deadlines. 5. Receive and check weekly stock delivery and input onto stock management software. 6. Assist in delivering sundry purchase items to halls when required. 7. Perform other tasks or relief cover as specified by the Deputy Finance Manager.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum of two National 5 (or equivalent) qualifications, including English and Mathematics or relevant experience. Essential knowledge, skills, and experience requirements include knowledge and experience of stock control and delivery, and competent use of Microsoft Packages.
