Care and Support Specialist for Young People

We are recruiting for a highly skilled Care and Support Specialist to work with young people in a residential setting near Fareham. As a senior member of the staff team, you will be responsible for leading and managing staff to provide exceptional care and support.
This is a full-time, permanent position requiring 37.5 hours of work per week, spread across Monday to Sunday. The annual salary for this role is approximately £29,900 - £34,000, with optional overtime and sleep-in payments.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing individual care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person
- Supporting and supervising junior staff members to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care
- Managing challenging behaviour and promoting a safe and caring environment
- Working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Substantial experience working as a Senior Support Worker with children and young people who have learning difficulties and/or emotional behaviours
- An NVQ 3 (or above) in Children and Young People (or equivalent) or willingness to complete this qualification (provided by the home)
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- A Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
