Job Description:
ILS Case Management is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team and provide care and support to a young adult with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively, work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth, and compassion, and have experience working with young adults and individuals with cerebral palsy and seizures.
Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care, including assisting with mealtimes and medication administration
• Use moving and handling equipment to support the individual's independence
• Assist with emergency seizure care, if needed
• Provide daily physiotherapy stretches to support the individual's mobility
Requirements:
• Experience working with young adults and individuals with cerebral palsy and seizures
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth, and compassion
• Reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival for shifts and training
Benefits:
• Competitive hourly rate (£14.12-£19.80, dependent on shift)
• Ongoing training and support provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
